Think You Are In A Slump? Think Again! What Really Matters In Life?

“Unless one is independently wealthy, today’s times of economic stress are having an adverse impact on our well-being” (Julie Weishaar). After eating breakfast at the local deli, I looked at the once full shopping center and realized how many stores and restaurants had gone out of business. One of my favorite restaurants, as well as other major franchises had sad “For Rent” signs on their windows. Not only has this local shopping center been hit hard, but there are thousands of other businesses who’ve taken the toll for the worst.

This recession is still going strong, and now not only are “mom and pop” stores going out of business but many franchise chains as well. People are being laid off left and right, and it’s almost impossible to find a job; it is down right scary. This article I’ve stumbled upon is a great way to comfort those who are  in economic distress; “If you have people who love you and people you love, you are not in a slump – you have everything!” (Julie Weishaar).

I couldn’t agree more! Having people there for you is so important and will keep you emotionally and physically stable during these hard times. Family and friends are the best remedy! Julie’s heart warming story had such an impact on me this morning, that I just had to share it with all of you.

“So as we try to keep up with this rat-race called life, remember to focus on what really matters. When life gets you down, which it will – and – often, look around you at those you love and remember – this is what really matters!” (Julie Weishaar).

Today is a day where we should all take time out of our busy lives and call/email/contact our loved ones. Catch up, meet up, or even just say hi!
