“Things To Remove From Your Diet Today” (Kari Farmer). Just because the foods your eating have a low calorie or a low fat content doesn’t meant that they are healthier for you! People are constantly being mislead by labels that say LOW FAT, or NO FAT and substituting these products from the natural foods they once ate. WRONG IDEA! You are eventually going to get yourself sick from all of the chemicals that are put into these processed foods. Kari’s article gives us five main ingredients that should be removed entirely from our diets.
“Aspartame is made from three components: 50% phenylalanine (a neurotoxin), 40% aspartic acid and 10% methanol (wood alcohol). When ingested, these substances break down into formaldehyde (an embalming fluid)…high fructose corn syrup is anything but natural. It is a synthetic substance that tricks the body into always feeling hungry…food additives such as dyes, colorants, preservatives, stabilizers and thickeners have been linked to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and adults. MSG or monosodium glutamate, can cause severe allergic reaction in sensitive people such as, headaches, chest tightness and burning skin.
Preservatives BHT and BHA have been linked to cancer and are commonly found in breakfast cereals. Sulfates, commonly found in dried fruits, wine, jams, hard candies and gelatin have been known to cause severe allergic reaction in asthmatics. If you suffer from asthma, be on the lookout for foods containing this additive as it could worsen the condition…Here’s the scary thing about margarine it is only 1 molecule away from plastic (Eek! How scary is that! I had to italicize this!)…and meat and Dairy Products Made with Artificial Hormones and Antibiotics” (Kari Farmer).
