Common Dog Crates For Your Canine

“In a pet-friendly culture, you see man’s best friend everywhere- in homes, parks, spas and even restaurants. Today’s dogs enjoy privileges within the community that they never had in the history of their domestication” (Tim Bell).

Dog crates are a great accessory to own when you decide to purchase an animal. Not only are they great for training, but pets enjoy having “a little room” of their own.

“The key points in buying a crate are to get the right size and should be comfortable for your dog to lay and stand inside it. One way to get the right size for your kennel is to take measurements. First, determine the height by taking the measurement from the shoulder of your pet down to the floor. The second is to take the length by measuring head to the base of the tail. Once you get the measurements, add three inches to both height and length, then, you will have the minimum dimensions of the kennel that you should buy. If you have a puppy, think about buying a wire crate that has a divider” (Tim Bell).

If you own an animal whether it’s a cat or dog; crates are also great for traveling. So if you don’t own a crate; I suggest you go to your nearest pet store and ask the employee to assist you in purchasing one.
